Description & Responsibilities

Pemberley Productions is in search of a Company Manager for the upcoming production of “Kim’s Convenience” on tour in the US in the 25/26 season.   

Reporting to the General Manager, the Company Manager serves as liaison with cast, crew, and creatives by arranging, overseeing, and supporting travel and housing needs, providing emergency health and wellness assistance, and continued hospitality for all. The Company Manager also assists with financial reporting and expense management. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, processing artist ticket requests, liaising with the Production team to ensure necessary rehearsal needs are met, and assisting with press events. This list is not intended to be exclusive of all the duties involved as each production has unique needs and additional, specific duties will undoubtedly arise.

The Company Manager’s schedule will follow the production’s rehearsal and performance schedule and will be on tour full time with the company, a full tour schedule can be provided. The Company Manager is present at all rehearsals and performances (requires nights and weekends).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience or familiarity working in theater, performing arts, events management, or similar field in a professional or educational setting

  • Company or Stage Management experience is preferred but not required if candidate has similar/relevant experience

  • The ability to communicate transparently and effectively across mediums with an emphasis on interpersonal communication and demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse range of collaborators and creative processes

  • Excellent social skills with an emphasis on building and maintaining meaningful and reciprocal external relationships

  • Commitment to working with diverse groups in terms of gender expression, race, sexual orientation, religion, ability, age, class, and immigrant status

  • Creative problem solving and a general curiosity/openness to continual learning and growth

  • Experience with expense and financial management or similar

  • Basic computer skills (including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive)

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended period across multiple-level environments

Compensation

  • The Company Manager will be hired on a buyout contract with a salary of $1,200/week, but the Company Manager’s hours will be limited to a maximum of 50 hours a week. Overtime surpassing fifty hours is payable at the rate of $35/hour. Overtime must be approved in advance.
